Info Point
Torino - Italy
2008
Description:
One of the projects I've worked on during my work at Orbit Architects in London. The Info Point is designed to attract people through their curiosity. It’s a building without walls which does not disclose its content immediately. It allows people to enter and leave from all directions, inviting and transparent during the night, and mysterious during the day. Several layers of translucent strings of sailcloth define spaces without forming any barrier. People percolate through these layers deeper into the building. The info point enables transmission with Lingotto where the congress is held. This informs visitors about public events and activities. At the heart of the building people can put their head through the “ceiling”. This provides a 360° projection showing the activities of the congress and unexpected perspectives of the city.
